1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
Subsio is an AI-powered platform that automatically generates animated, styled subtitles and captions for short-form video content. The Service includes:
- Automatic speech transcription powered by AI models
- Subtitle styling with animated effects (ASS/SRT format)
- Video rendering with burned-in captions
- Cloud storage of processed videos
- Management dashboard and account features
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
3. User Accounts
To use the Service you must register for an account. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and up-to-date registration information
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account, whether authorized or not
You must notify us immediately at legal@subsio.org if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload content that you do not own or do not have rights to process
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
- Infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of third parties
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or extract source code from the Service
- Use automated bots or scripts to abuse the platform or overload our infrastructure
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our prior written consent
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions.
5. Payments & Billing
Paid plans are billed on a monthly subscription basis or as a one-time payment (Lifetime plan). All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method on the recurring schedule selected.
Free plan: No payment required. Limited to 5 processed videos per calendar month.
Refund policy: We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you are unsatisfied within 30 days of your first payment, contact us at legal@subsio.org for a full refund.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account page. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not prorate partial months.
Prices are listed in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes depending on your jurisdiction.
6. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all videos and content you upload to the Service (“User Content”). By uploading content, you grant Subsio a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
We do not sell, share, or use your content to train AI models without your explicit consent. Uploaded videos are stored temporarily during processing and retained on Cloudflare R2 storage for download availability.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to upload and process any content, including obtaining permission from any individuals whose voice or likeness appears in your videos.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, subtitle style templates, animations, branding, and all related materials are the exclusive property of Subsio and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand features without our prior written consent.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated transcriptions will be 100% accurate.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SUBSIO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at legal@subsio.org. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice on the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Poland.
If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you may also benefit from mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
